Kevin Leak (59) is a practicing chirologist with twenty years of experience in the field of psychodiagnostic chirology. He is a widower and has two boys aged 29 and 26.
He obtained both his honours degrees in Politics and Psychology from Unisa. Research he conducted over seven years on the historical Jesus is currently considered for publication. He was previously employed by the Department of Correctional Services for 12 years, where he was the Deputy Director of Research and worked with prisoners who were on death row. He served on the Board of LifeLine Pretoria, was involved in training counsellors, and also worked as a counsellor at various schools.
He currently resides in Kaapsehoop a small village 30 km from Nelspruit in Mpumalanga. The quaint village with fewer than 200 residents and wild horses that roam the streets provides a tranquil environment where he practices as a chirologist. Most of his work is conducted based on photos that clients sent for analysis. With more than 10 600 handprints, he has one of the largest private collections of handprints in the world, which allows him to conduct research on various psychological, educational and human development aspects.
He has conducted extensive research on depression and suicide, particularly how these issues are indicated on the hand. His research is utilized in various fields, including career guidance, recruitment, and staff placements for companies, as well as assisting individuals with disabilities, those with learning disabilities, and children in general. He provides guidance on depression, relationship management, life coaching, life purpose and life lessons and all aspects that influence the quality of an individual’s life.
His passion is to work with children and those with disabilities. He believes that by applying the principles of Chirology to the hands of those who are unable to express their feelings and needs, it is possible to guide them toward living quality lives. He has established a database where participants are recorded according to the specific ‘soul group’ they belong to. This is based on the fingerprint pattern combination of each participant.
He has analysed the hands of presidents like Barrack Obama, and Jacob Zama, as well as various other politicians and public figures.
He considers Chirology the tool that has the ability to guide individuals to their full potential and states that being a Chirologist is living his passion.
