We are one – a hollow cliché or words of wisdom?
We are one, but I cannot spend time with you. We are one, but I have my own cell phone. We are one, but on Sunday you go to “your church” We are one, but I need a passport if I want to come to your country and so the list goes on. Are we one?
The obvious answer is no on a physical level not – more on a spiritual level.
However it took a virus to remind us of our oneness on all levels. The most elementary action – washing your hands becomes the action that can save my life. What you hoard out of fear could deprive others of food. Going for a walk or visiting a friend you could be spreading the virus – what you do influences the world.
So are we then one? The question could perhaps be best answered by saying – we are all connected. Like a spiders web carefully linked by our uniqueness.
Being linked or connected you have the responsibility to act in ways that are consistent with the harmony of the web. This requires a fair amount of self-knowledge and you can find guidelines on how to do that here – http://chirology.co.za/services-provided/know-yourself/
In the end the mystery remains – what is the purpose of the web and who constructs it?
